"Thy Ways Are Just"
What Nephi's declaration taught me about the character of Christ
Hello my beautiful friends! Sorry this is getting out late this week, hopefully this is a beautiful sweetie tender little good morning message that helps you all know that God is mindful of you. :)
I won’t wax long as far as exposition goes - this poem speaks for itself. It was inspired by 2 Nephi 26:7 :
7 O the pain, and the anguish of my soul for the loss of the slain of my people! For I, Nephi, have seen it, and it well nigh consumeth me before the presence of the Lord; but I must cry unto my God: Thy ways are just.

Nephi foresaw the destruction and annihilation of his people. He saw their pain, their trials, and their anguish.
He could have easily railed at God, calling Him uncaring, unkind, and uninterested.
But, with courage and unwavering faith so typical of Nephi, he boldly declared: “Thy ways are just.”Not: “Thy ways are easy.”
Not: “Thy ways are painless.”
“Thy ways are just.”Among the many marvelous traits of our Savior, He is just.
And that can bring us peace, knowing that all that is unfair about life will be made right in the end through His atonement.He is the Great Mediator, the ultimate judge, and our advocate.
And he is just.
His ways are just.So when I am in the throes of infuriating unfairness
When I think that God has abandoned me,
I must declare right beside Nephi:“Thy ways are just”
I love you, each and every one of you. But know that Christ loves you a lot more than I ever could. Trust in that.
